HI! I'M KARINA BALDWIN

6 years ago I almost dropped out of graduate school because it felt like something was missing.

I had demanded so much of myself and forced myself into friend groups that I didn't feel connected to. I studied under mentors that I felt like I HAD to because of the creditability of their names in our field.

Something was missing but I wasn't sure what. I spent the Christmas break of my first year of graduate school out in the Sierra Nevadas skiing.

I realized that without adventure, life was nothing short of a lack of luster existence.

I spent the next few years chasing the dream of the weekend warrior but knew there was more.

When I took my life into my own hands I discovered it was not about the PTO, it's not about the money, it's not about the lack of nature-loving friends. It was about deciding that this life was meant for me.

I begin courageously adventuring.

I held a traditional 9-5 job working for the US Army as a Mental Performance Coach and continued to explore the Pacific Northwest Mountains every weekend. I made it my Number 1 priority.

This meant bringing my lunch from home for an entire year so I could afford a new backcountry ski set-up. It meant calculating PTO and extra hours to work in my favor for every 3-day weekend trip I could take. It meant skipping the weekly workout classes so I could have the energy to hike all weekend and still be able to get up for work Monday morning.

How did I do it? I decided it was a priority. I decided my life was an adventure, it was time to live it. And now I have made it my life work to empower YOU to do the same.

It's about more than the physical work, not just the mobility, not just the big hikes, but the mental skills that give you the ability to make the big decision.

Your life is worth adventuring. Your life is worth living courageously.

Sunriver Retreat 2021

Before the retreat, I was feeling like I've been going 100 mph, pulled in every direction at once. I have been feeling very overwhelmed, busy, exhausted, and just very clouded and confused about what is next for me. Going on this retreat was exactly what I needed. It provided me with the space to take a minute to just breathe, be present, and get clarity about what's been going on in my life. It reminded me how valuable spending time doing things that I love actually is- because time spent doing something rejuvenating is repaid tenfold. I feel like my cup has been refilled and I can return to "normal life" with energy, focus, and clarity. I had a moment during our first yoga practice on our first night that really stands out. We were in half pigeon and reaching back for a quad stretch. As I turned by head back to find my foot, I just saw all of the beautiful trees behind us and it all hit me - where I was, what I was doing, who I was being in that moment. If me from 10 years ago could've seen me in that moment she would've been so proud! Here I am a happy, successful woman, practicing yoga with other amazing women, in a beautiful place, connecting with nature, taking care of and prioritizing myself. It immediately brought tears to my eyes. It really reminded me the importance of gratitude and celebrating how far I've come. Also, it was so cool to share this experience with the amazing women in our group - sharing and connecting with them was so effortless and fun and made my revelations all the more poignant. ALSO all of the food was to die for -like literally some of the best food I've ever had.

You'll get to stay in a beautiful home, eat the best food you've ever had, hike in incredible places, further your yoga practice and all you have to do is show up!
