About Adventure + Yoga Retreats
Nature is the perfect place for reflection. For gratitude. For love. For community. For growth.
Mother Nature is the perfect teacher, she is giving without asking for anything but love, and care in return.
This is a lesson we can take into our own lives. We must first start with the person on the mat, once our cup is full we can pour it into others.
Hiking has always been near and dear to my heart but it wasn't until I backpacked the eastern state line of California on the John Muir Trail with my mom that my love truly kicked in. 12 days with just me, my mom, and our packs. We met strangers along the way but mainly, it was just the two of us. We walked, walked, and walked some more. Our bodies were pushed to their limits. On the 12th day we were picked up by my uncle and I felt this overwhelming sadness to leave the forest.
I was craving fresh food but my soul was craving the silence and relaxation of the vast forest. Knowing that the only thing that mattered was to simply make it to the next camp spot.
There was no boss telling me what to do.
There was no society telling me I had to dress a certain way.
There was no version of myself putting my own demands on my performance.
There was no partner saying they needed my time.
It was me
and Mother Earth.
It was peaceful and beautiful and everything made sense in there. I strive every day to fill my life as well as others with that reassuring feeling.
Everything will make sense when you rediscover your truest self.

An experience of a lifetime! I was challenged mentally, physically, intellectually, and I met some of the most amazing people that will remain good friends for a long time! I am walking away with new perspectives, deeper self awareness and a re-sparked flame for exploration. Karina truly knows how to share her gift of teaching yoga and her love of the outdoors. Worth every penny, and then some.

If you want a fun, exciting and challenging new experience where you get to meet likeminded people and explore incredible places, then look no further. This is exactly what you're looking for. You'll get to stay in a beautiful home, eat the best food you've ever had, hike in incredible places, further your yoga practice and all you have to do is show up! The things I learned, places I explored, people I met and experiences I had are some of the most valuable things I'm getting to take away from this adventure. 10/10 recommend, 5 stars, I approve 100%.

Whistler, BC Hiking + Yoga Retreat 2022
I knew from the first night this retreat would be transformative, that it would push me out of my comfort zone in many ways. I felt very comfortable allowing myself to be vulnerable in the retreat space. I have discovered, or I should say remembered, that I can do hard things and that I have a power and a light that I should not be afraid to use. I did yoga poses that I thought would be too difficult. I hiked up mountains that I thought would be too steep, and I spoke thoughts and feelings that I have kept hidden for a long time. It was a very powerful experience in an extraordinary place with delicious food that I hope to enjoy again in the future. Thank you Karina!!

I came on this retreat, for fun; and to do something I’ve never done before; traveling alone. I gained friendships with people I’ve only met via online, & lifelong meaningful relationships. I am leaving the retreat feeling rejuvenated, at peace with myself, & ready to take strides in my life that I wasn’t ready to do, before coming to Sunriver. Focusing on yourself, & allowing yourself to fully work through your internal self is a game changer. Karina made sure this retreat was not only “fun” but impactful, & meaningful. The yoga sessions were phenomenal, the hikes & views were breathtaking, & the overall experience is unforgettable. I can’t wait to book another retreat in the future, & dig even deeper into myself. If you’ve ever thought about signing up for one of Karina’s retreat, stop thinking; just do it. Take a leap of faith, & invest in yourself, not just for the “fun” of going on a trip, not just for the yoga & hiking, but for the overall heart opening experience. You won’t regret it.

Before the retreat, I was feeling like I've been going 100 mph, pulled in every direction at once. I have been feeling very overwhelmed, busy, exhausted, and just very clouded and confused about what is next for me. Going on this retreat was exactly what I needed. It provided me with the space to take a minute to just breathe, be present, and get clarity about what's been going on in my life. It reminded me how valuable spending time doing things that I love actually is- because time spent doing something rejuvenating is repaid tenfold. I feel like my cup has been refilled and I can return to "normal life" with energy, focus, and clarity. I had a moment during our first yoga practice on our first night that really stands out. We were in half pigeon and reaching back for a quad stretch. As I turned by head back to find my foot, I just saw all of the beautiful trees behind us and it all hit me - where I was, what I was doing, who I was being in that moment. If me from 10 years ago could've seen me in that moment she would've been so proud! Here I am a happy, successful woman, practicing yoga with other amazing women, in a beautiful place, connecting with nature, taking care of and prioritizing myself. It immediately brought tears to my eyes. It really reminded me the importance of gratitude and celebrating how far I've come. Also, it was so cool to share this experience with the amazing women in our group - sharing and connecting with them was so effortless and fun and made my revelations all the more poignant. ALSO all of the food was to die for -like literally some of the best food I've ever had.
